Wanna' read along? Here’s a machine-generated transcript you can use. Yes...expect a few mistakes, especially with funky industry terms, interesting names and tagging whoever's talking. If something sounds weird, trust your ears. But...sometimes that really is what we said!
Update (September 2026): The former members-only pitch site and login described below have been retired. For current pitch instructions and access status, see How to Pitch Shows to Us.
Biagio: Hey everybody, it’s Biagio. Yes, my better half is missing and I am barely breathing. Excuse me. We are both very, very sick this week, so I didn’t want to not put up a podcast because we tried to put one up every two weeks. This admittedly does not count as a podcast. This is really more of me saying, look people, we’re both really sick, but still thinking about you. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to post this and this is episode. I don’t remember what episode. This is because I’m really sick. Did I mention that part? I’m on a lot of DayQuil right now. Anyways, it’ll be in the show notes. Point being is, I just rather than do a whole podcast tonight, I wanted to give you a piece of interesting information you might be excited about and share a few recent updates you might not have heard about. So the first thing I want to do is, I know a lot of you are members of our our Free members only portal, which you can get access to by signing up for our newsletter over on the front page of Producing Unscripted. And I think probably the most exciting thing that you can read when you log in to the free members only portal is you can actually see a list of shows that we are looking for right now, which can be a very, very helpful way for you to to save time and resources and look around and maybe shape your development based on something that we might actually be looking for. That list comes from conversations we have every single day with executives and our agents and just, you know, fresh back from a real screen this year and having had a lot of new big picture conversations with networks that we work with, we are going to be putting up a massive update that should be up before our next podcast. So if you’re not already a member of the Free Members Only portal, I just sign up for a newsletter and follow the directions to see how to get access. Also, just wanted to remind you about a couple of things that have gone up recently that you might find interesting. Of course, you all know at the front page of Producing Unscripted. Com, we recently added the How to Pitch a Reality show, a free guide and book. It’s totally free. It’s about 10,000 words, about 50 pages. You can download the PDF for free. All you need to do is tweet it or Facebook. Like it. Or I think you can Google plus it, which helps us get the word out. Or you can actually just read it right there on the page. We’ve also recently done a few new a few new blog posts over at Joke and Biagio. Now, a lot of you might not know that before producing unscripted began, we actually started our blog, A Joke and Viaggio way back in 2009. We launched it right around the time we started doing the second season of our show Scream Queens for VH1, which I recently learned the Tribeca Film Festival called the greatest horror reality show of all time. So thank you, Tribeca, but we have a lot of great filmmaking posts over at Joke and Biagio, so feel free to, you know. Oh, excuse me, I told you I was sick. Feel free to swing on over and check out Jacoby and see if there’s some good editing posts of a filmmaking post that might help you out. And you know that’s going to be it for this week. I again, listen, we love you guys. We appreciate everyone who tunes in regularly. But joke is even sicker than I am. So she couldn’t even be here. But we were. We were going to just skip it all together. And actually it was my wife who said, why don’t you just record a short little three minute message, tell everybody we’re sorry, we love them, and we’ll be back in two weeks. So we’re sorry. We love you and we’ll be back in two weeks. This is Biagio setting out for producing unscripted calm.
